Is there a void in your life now that Beer Week has come and gone and you have to wait another year till the next go round? The EAB crew has a treat in store for ya… join us next Sunday, March 13th, at Commonwealth Cafe and Pub in Oakland for a night of revelry. We’ll be serving six courses each paired with an offering of our finest home-brewed malted barley pop. If you’ve been to an EAB homebrew dinner before, you may think you know what to expect but we’re stepping up the game this time. If you haven’t been, you’re in for a treat and we’d advise you snag a ticket quick while you have the chance. They’ll go quick and this is one you don’t want to miss. The evening’s menu is below.

Scottish Heavy 70 Shilling
Endive with roasted pheasant, chicories & hazelnuts.

~Second~
Deconstructed sake* bomb
Umeboshi onigiri & marinated daikon.
*sake also made by EAB

~Third~
American Black Ale
Guatemalan longaniza sausage topped with a roasted tomato salsa alongside fresh cheese, grilled green onions & a puree of black beans.

~Fourth~
Belgian Pale Ale
Butter-poached lobster with a Szechuan lemon pepper gastrique and Belgian-inspired crispy potatoes.

~Fifth~
Belgian Strong Dark Ale
Beer-braised duck leg with potato-celery root purée.

~Sixth~
Dunkelweizen
Bananas foster brulée.

BART: get off at 19th Street and walk up Broadway to Grand, left on Grand, right on Telegraph. Commonwealth is at Telegraph and 29th.

Driving: take 580 east to 980 toward Downtown Oakland. Take the exit for 27th/Grand, make a left off the exit and then a left on Telegraph. Commonwealth will be on your right at the corner of Telegraph and 29th.
